You want a bike that screams to the tune of long days on the trail? GT’s Pantera 27.5+ has oversized tires that are ready to rock every type of terrain you can throw its way. The increased traction of the plus-sized tires gives you the type of cornering and pedaling control you need to ride in almost any condition, putting your skills at center stage. The lightweight aluminum frame accelerates quickly, while the SR Suntour XCR fork with 120mm of travel absorbs the bumps with ease. The Shimano Alivio 2 x 9-speed drivetrain keeps your shifting quick and accurate. The Pantera rolls on reliable All Terra rims and hubs, with durable and grippy WTB Trail Blazer tires. Powerful Tektro hydraulic disc brakes provide awesome speed control even when conditions are less than perfect.

This bike is great for XC, trail, park and light downhill. Great frame with solid components that are perfect for beginners and beyond. I really enjoy the 2x drive train. The speed of the larger chainring is great here in flat TX and the smaller chainring made the climbs in CO much easier. Stock tires are WTB Trailblazers 2.8" wide (actual 2.6"). They did come with tubes and have a thin sidewall. We were going to Keystone in CO so I swapped to tubeless Maxxis tires with no issues. Internal rim width in 35mm. Suntour XCR forks are nice but will likely swap later. They survived run after and run at Keystone and several bike parks. The tapered headtube will allow for a wide range of quality fork options. Stock GT All Terra stem and bars are very nice. I swapped to a Spank stem and bars because I wanted to transfer the stock ones to my son's bike. If you want a dropper post there is a pre-drilled hole in the bottom of the seat tube to allow clean cable routing. I would definitely recommend this bike!
